Barefoot in the park

Connecting to the Earth’s natural energy by walking barefoot can diminish chronic pain, fatigue and other ailments.

Barefoot in the park

Do you remember the last time you walked barefoot on the beach, through the grass, or out in the countryside, and simply reconnected with the Earth? How good did it feel?

Research has shown that connecting to the Earth’s natural energy, by walking barefoot, can diminish chronic pain, fatigue and other ailments. This connection is referred to, very logically, as Earthing.

To put it briefly, when your bare feet or skin comes in contact with the Earth, free electrons are taken up into the body. These electrons could be described as nature’s biggest antioxidants, and help neutralise damaging excess free radicals that can lead to inflammation and disease. The Earth is a conductor of free electrons, and so are all living things on the planet, including us. The body is composed mostly of water and minerals, which in combination are excellent conductors of electrons from the Earth - providing there is direct skin contact or some other conductive channel for them to flow through.

Energy

The Earth’s energy upgrades your physiology by allowing the body to cope and repair itself, thereby promoting wellbeing, vitality and better sleep. It also harmonises and stabilises the body’s basic biological rhythms, deals with chronic inflammation, and reduces and eliminates associated pain, making it the most natural and powerful anti-inflammatory and anti-aging remedy around.

No matter what your age, gender or health status, you will benefit from a daily dose of Earthing.

Benefits that Earthing has been shown to help with include:

·       Defuse the cause of inflammation, and improve or eliminate the symptoms of many inflammation-related disorders

·       Reduce or eliminate chronic pain

·       Improve sleep and promote a deeper sleep

·       Increase energy and vitality

·       Lower stress and promote calmness in the body by cooling down the nervous system and stress hormones

·       Normalise the body's biological rhythms

·       Thin the blood and improve blood pressure and flow

·       Relieve muscle tension and headaches

·       Lessen hormonal and menstrual symptoms

·       Dramatically speed healing time and help prevent bedsores

·       Reduce or eliminate jet lag

·       Protect the body against potentially health-disturbing environmental electromagnetic fields

·       Accelerate recovery from intense athletic activity

Our connection to nature, the planet and the universe are vital. However, with rapid advances in technology and our modern fast-paced lifestyles, many of us have become separated from our basic bond with Mother Earth.

We all know that the sun gives us warmth, light and vitamin D, and that the Earth provides us with fresh air, water, food, and a surface to live on. However, when your bare feet make contact with the Earth’s surface, your body uptakes a natural and subtle energy which could be referred to as vitamin G. G for ground. This could be the difference between feeling good and not so good, of having little or a lot of energy, sleeping well or not so well, looking vibrant or looking tired and old, suffering from an auto-immune disease or having a strong immune system.

Go barefoot outside for at least half an hour, and see what a difference it makes on your pain or stress level. Sit, stand, lay or walk on grass, sand or plain concrete. These are all conductive surfaces from which your body can draw the Earth’s energy. Wood, carpet, asphalt, and sealed or painted concrete and vinyl won’t work, and will block the flow of electrons as they are not conductive surfaces. You’ll experience for yourself the healing energy of the Earth at work.

Mother Nature knows best.
