Idiot Jumps From A Cruise Ship In Ridiculous Attempt To Go ‘Viral’

A guy travelling through the Bahamas with friends made a ridiculous attempt at internet fame by jumping from a deck on a Royal Caribbean cruise ship.

Nick Naydev from Vancouver, Washington leapt 120 ft into the Carribean sea whilst his pals recorded his stupidity on their phones.

The video shows Nick climbing the safety railings and getting ready to jump. Then he leaps overboard while his friends look on rather nervously as he plummets towards the ocean.

Nick responded saying he was still drunk from the night before. He said:

‘When I sobered up my back started hurting pretty bad. Could barely walk for 3 days and could barely sleep from the pain.

Royal Caribbean staff were less than impressed with Nick and his mates actions though, after being picked up by a rescue crew he was told to get his belongings and leave the ship.

Apparently Nassau police thought the situation was pretty amusing and decided not to press charges. After a trip to the docs to get checked out Nick had to shell out $200 for a flight back home.

Speaking of the incident a friend of Nick said:

‘He’s jumped from those kind of heights before, and we didn’t really care about the consequences with the cruise company. We just wanted to get a video of it and make it go viral.’

Nick commented that he was shocked at how quickly the video was racking up the views but said that he hopes he hasn’t inspired anyone to try it.

A spokesman for Royal Caribbean said:

‘This was stupid and reckless behaviour and he and his companions have been banned from ever sailing with us again. We are exploring legal action.’
