United States president Donald Trump recently told a crowd of law officials that the border wall between the US and Mexico will be tougher to climb than Mount Everest.
Speaking to the gathering of sheriffs in Washington D.C, Trump said:
“This wall is very, very on its way. It’s happening as we speak, we’re building as we speak in the most desperately needed areas.”
So, the wall is apparently going to be thirty foot high, Mount Everest, the tallest mountain on earth, where hundreds have perished whilst trying to reach the summit stands at a collosal thirty thousand foot.
Trump also added:
“It’s a big wall. It’s a strong wall, and it’s a wall that people aren’t going through very easy.
“They’re gonna have to be in extremely good shape to get over this one. They would be able to climb Mount Everest a lot easier, I think.”
The wall was one of the key election promises from Trump and he’s determined to push for it. So determined that he announced a national emergency yesterday to ensure the wall is built.
National media has reported that no new walls are being constructed currently, they do say that Trump refers to the wall on occasion a barrier or steel slats.
Speaking of the bill, press secretarty Sarah Sanders said:
“President Trump will sign the government funding bill, and as he has stated before he will also take other executive action – including a national emergency – to ensure we stop the national security and humanitarian crisis at the border. The President is once again delivering on his promise to build the wall, protect the border, and secure our great country.”
A new bill, hoping to avoid another government shutdown will be voted on next week, according to CNN.
